IntelliCAD was first released in the 90s by Visio corp as a low cost clone to the popular AutoCAD 2D drafting program. When Microsoft bought Visio, IntelliCAD was forked off into an independent consortium to further develop and release the software. Today there are dozens of different IntelliCAD end-user products to choose from.
